SAMA’s 32nd Annual Meeting took place at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon on April 22, 2026.

SAMA also offered a half day training session specifically geared to administrators the afternoon before our Annual Meeting, on April 21, 2026.

“SAMA is always looking for ways to improve the work we do for our client municipalities. Developing and implementing new technologies and ensuring we have the right people for the right jobs helps us to continue to deliver for our clients," said SAMA Board Chair Myron Knafelc. "Municipalities want a stable and predictable revenue source that is delivered inexpensively. Additionally, SAMA’s clients want a system that is up-to-date, and ratepayers need to be treated fairly and equitably."

"To deliver on our commitments to our clients and stakeholders, SAMA has launched an Assessment Innovation program that ties together all of the work the Agency is doing to prepare us for the future of assessment in the province,” said SAMA CEO Shaun Cooney. “Continuing to prioritize efficiency, quality and innovation helps keep SAMA one of the lowest cost per property assessment service providers in the country.”

Laurier Donais, Deputy Minister of Government Relations, brought greetings on behalf of the Ministry and the Province, and Bev Dubois, Councilor with the City of Saskatoon, brought greetings on behalf of the city.
