SAMA 2026 Annual General Meeting & Administrator Training Session
Delegates from Saskatchewan municipal governments and stakeholder groups gathered at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon on April 22, 2026 for SAMA's Annual General Meeting. The day's agenda included progress reports from the CEO and the Board of Directors, the Assessment Services Division update, as well as a review of SAMA's 2025 Audited Financial Statements and Financial Update. Delegates also heard updates from the Cities of Regina, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert on assessment issues in their jurisdictions.
Three plenary information sessions were held during the day that included "What Happens After Value Delivery", "Looking Ahead to the 2029 Revaluation", and a "Technology Update".
SAMA also offered a half-day training session for municipal administrators on April 21 that focused on the basics of assessment and what assessments actually look like in a municipality, what the role of the municipality is after values are delivered, and how to use assessment information for developing tax policy. The final presentation of the day was delivered by Sask. Ministry of Government Relations on the "Property Assessment Appeals Process".
