SAMA Introduces New MySAMA Web Portal

What is MySAMA?
MySAMA is a secure online portal that will allow municipalities to submit maintenance information to SAMA online and access completed maintenance packages to download and use.   You will also be able to view a dashboard that tracks the status of your maintenance.  In addition, it will provide the general public an easy to use sales verification form to streamline the work SAMA does verifying sales.  These two items are the first of many planned services that will be available through MySAMA.

What are the benefits?
MySAMA will make it easier for municipalities to submit maintenance lists to SAMA by cutting down the amount of time spent preparing lists and will reduce the amount of manual work required by SAMA to manage maintenance information when it gets to the Agency.  Your maintenance, appeals, reinspection and revaluation report packages will all be delivered through MySAMA.

This will allow SAMA to:

  • Complete maintenance in a more timely manner; and
  • Free up time otherwise spent on maintenance to focus on reinspections.

Being able to track your maintenance from the dashboard on MySAMA will also give you a better understanding of the completion status of your maintenance.

When will I get to use MySAMA? 
SAMA is starting with a pilot project with select municipalities beginning in March 2019.  Following the SAMA Annual Meeting on April 10, 2019, we will begin contacting municipalities in waves over the course of the summer and getting them signed up to use the portal.

What happens if I have a problem, or need support? 
We understand you might have questions or need help once you’ve been signed up for MySAMA.  Don’t worry, we’re here to help! 

User documentation will be sent out when you are initially contacted about signing up for MySAMA, and a number of help documents and videos will also be available. 

You will also be able to contact your local SAMA office and speak to the regional Administrative Assistant who will be able to help you sign up for MySAMA, answer your questions and help you use it effectively.
