SAMA’s Commitment to Consultation - November Advisory Committees
SAMA’s Advisory Committees met in November to discuss and review important assessment related news and updates.
The SAMA Board of Directors maintains advisory committees to review policies and practices respecting assessments as part of the Agency’s commitment to transparency and collaboration. SAMA’s advisory committees meet biannually in March and November.
There are four main advisory committees that SAMA consults with:
- Urban Advisory Committee, representing urban and northern municipalities under 30,000 population.
- City Advisory Committee, representing cities with a population over 30,000.
- Rural Advisory Committee, representing rural municipalities, and,
- Commercial Advisory Committee, representing commercial and industrial property owners and others with similar interests.
SAMA also maintains several administrative committees to receive input and consultation on more detailed, procedural, technical and legislative issues.
