SAMA Annual General Meeting 2011

On April 14, 2011 the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency held its 2011 Annual Meeting in Regina.
Representatives from municipal governments throughout the province met at the Conexus Arts Centre to hear the CEO Progress Report and the Assessment Services Update.
Delegates also heard presentations on:
- Hotel and Motel Assessment Changes for 2011; and
- 2013 Assessment Trends - An Initial Report

SAMA Annual General Meeting 2010

On April 21, 2010 the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency held its 2009 Annual Meeting in Saskatoon. Representatives from local governments throughout the province met at the Travelodge Hotel to hear the CEO Progress Report, as well as presentations on:
- Working with the Income Approach;
- Board of Directors Open Forum Looking Back and Forward - 2009 to 2013; and
- Property Inspections - Past, Present and Future.
Government of Saskatchewan Announces New Chair for SAMA Board

The Government of Saskatchewan has announced the appointment of Neal Hardy as SAMA's new Board Chair. Mr. Hardy, currently a Rural Sector representative on the SAMA Board, brings a wealth of knowlege in business at the local government, assessment stakeholder (SARM) and provincial government levels. He will be replacing Craig Melvin, whose term as Chair expired this year. Mr. Melvin had occupied the position since 2003.
