Range Site

Range sites describe the climate, soil, and moisture regime of the pasture. A range site is an ecological subdivision used for the classification of pasture for the purpose of determining carrying capacity. On the sample profile in non-arable land rating area one, the range site is "TH". "TH" means Thin Range Site. The "40" means  the carrying capacity is 40-animal unit months per quarter.

 

On the sample profile in non-arable land rating area two, the range site is "L".  "L" means loamy range site. The "72" indicates 72-animal unit months per quarter.
